Facility Personnel Alerting
Your employees, your responsibility
When a disaster strikes - such as the release of Sarin nerve agent in your office building, chlorine tank explosion outside your facility or a 7.2 earthquake hitting your corporate headquarters – how will you notify your employees and the surrounding public?
In today’s world being prepared to rapidly disseminate accurate emergency information to your employees before, during and after a disaster is critical in protecting life, mitigating casualties and minimizing chaos.
Whereas detection of the threat such as a chemical spill at your plant is necessary in order to generate timely alerts, detection is insufficient, by itself. It is the actual warning to your employees in the affected areas, and the take-action instructions provided to them in a timely and coordinated manner that is significant in an overall effective mitigation response.

WAVES (Wireless Audio Visual Emergency System) and TACWAVES (Tactical WAVES), a portable system, are personnel alerting systems designed to alert, warn and inform people of what to do in an emergency or disaster. The emergency control and Mass Notification Systems (MNS) broadcast safety sirens, live and recorded voice messages and visual alerts via secure networks. Using zones and subzones, those in immediate danger areas whether indoor or outdoor can be alerted quickly and accurately. From outdoor speaker sirens to individual building MNS and from strobes to LED display signs, WAVES can send emergency messages in a variety of formats.
Another way to broadcast messages is through WAVES Alerter, a high-speed emergency notification system that automatically contacts persons by phone, pager, fax and email and delivers incident-specific information or potentially life-saving instruction. |

WAVES is the most reliable, field-proven system to serve your company needs today and in the future.
-
Command and Control (C2). WAVES provides the user a sophisticated, but easy-to-use C2 augmentation capability, enabling emergency and security managers to rapidly alert your employees and visitors of imminent danger and efficiently control their response before, during and after a man-made or natural disaster.
-
Indoor and Outdoor Alerting. WAVES offers both indoor (Individual Building MNS) and outdoor alerting, (Giant Voice/speaker sirens) as well as Campus-Wide MNS.
-
Regional Control Capability. WAVES can integrate multiple facility sites into a broader regional control system. WAVES Regional Alerting System provides remote access and control of numerous WAVES from a primary location such as the corporate security office.
-
Secure/Robust Communications. WAVES offers a variety of communications capabilities, both wired and wireless to deliver the necessary voice and data information. MadahCom’s ‘flagship’ communication network is based on its digital Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum (FHSS) technology with superb anti-jamming capabilities and high immunity to interference, eavesdropping and spoofing as well as protecting the network in the event of a disaster. Other communication solutions include UHF, VHF, POTS, and Ethernet.
-
WAVES is modular, scaleable, and mobile
-
Integration Capability. WAVES has the capability to integrate with Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) and other designated C2 systems for improved system management and situation awareness. It can also be integrated with sensor and detection systems, including systems such as weather systems, chemical and biological sensors, intrusion detection, access control and fire alarm panels. In addition, WAVES can communicate with CAP (Common Alerting Protocol), an XML-based data format for exchanging public warnings and emergencies between alerting technologies.
-
Portable Field Units. TACWAVES, containing low and high power mobile speaker systems, offer portable field notification units for operations within disaster areas or temporary events.
-
WAVES can be programmed to display its graphic user interface in any language desired.
-
Remote Activation. Users can remotely access the WAVES base station and activate critical mass notification functions via telephone (including cellular) or a networked computer, as well as local wired/or wireless activators.
-
Zones and Subzones. WAVES sends specific alerting message to the affected areas (zones) as well as notifying the appropriate personnel, whether onsite or offsite. Different messages can be sent to different zones (speakers).
-
ISO 9001:2000 Certification - MadahCom holds the most-advanced certification, representing a strict quality system that meets the requirements of the International Quality Management Standards.
-
WAVES will enable emergency and security managers to ensure that critical information is provided to the right people, at the right time, and in the right manner.
